We were pretty competitive, especially in the first half, but in the end Burwood were just too good running out 4-1 winners.

" What a flourishing game it was... Sippy has been observing something odd in our goalkeeping position, ever since we had uncertainties of who’s going to or who must be fielding that position, we amazingly win. Mmmmh!

After six matches in sixteen days - some of them pretty disappointing efforts - we turned up with the bare 11. We then discovered our opponents, 5th-placed Hurlstone, had no game yesterday and had two subs, while we were carrying injuries. With all that in mind, we could have been forgiven for giving up. But lo and behold we had one of our best games, played the entire second half with 10 men after Al went off injured and came away with the win!
