Nobel Prizes, Fields Medals, the Kennard
Cup. All honours which the University of Sydney can credit to its name
which the University of New South Wales cannot.
On Sunday the First Grade
men beat the men from Kenso Tech 1-0 to hold on to the William
Kennard Cup for another year. Uni imperiously blocked out the opposition
after an early Alex Bit goal. This followed the First Grade women’s 5-0
thrashing of UNSW a few hours earlier.
All told Sydney Uni were
triumphant in 10 (TEN) grades against the other place. Other
winners were Women’s Reserve Grade, All Age 5s, Girls Under 14s, Under
12s, Men’s Over 35s, ESFA PL, All Age 4s and All Age 7B.
